Natalia's showcased works focus on street-scapes or facades, embodying dual meanings. The term "facade" refers both to the principal front of a building and to a deceptive outward appearance. This duality resonates deeply with Natalia as she reflects on Byron Bay, often depicted as an idyllic summer destination while grappling with the pressing issue of homelessness, with 348 individuals sleeping rough on its doorstep (at the time of creation).

Through her art, Natalia highlights this contrast, using live plants outside her ceramic pieces as powerful symbols of living beings exposed to the elements. These plants represent the need for care, nurturing, and protection, paralleling the urgent need for compassion in the community.

Each piece serves as a reminder of the stories behind the surfaces, inviting viewers to look beyond appearances and engage with the deeper realities of the world around them.
